Autofieber-Tour: The Pagani Museum

Pagani is one of the most exclusive car manufactures in the world. Their shiny new headquarter is located just 30 minutes from Ferrari and Lamborghini near Modena in nothern Italy.

The museum is organized chronologicly and goes way back. These are some of the vehicles Mr. Pagani was working on as a young man, still living in Argentina.

Pagani as a young man in Argentina (left) and his parents' backery (right).

At the beginning of the 80s, the famous Argentinian racing driver Fangio helped Pagani to establish himself in the Italian car industry. This is the letter of recommandation Fangio sent to Enzo Ferrari at the time.

Pagani started working as designer and engineer for Lamborghini. The attaché case on display is his and autentic from the period!

Finally, the first car. This Zonda is called "la nonna", the grandmother, the oldest Zonda in existence. It has been continiously modified for testing new components and has done more then 500.000 km.

While every Pagani is an exclusiv car, this one is the king. The current value of the Zonda Cinque is about 8 million €.

A good look at the most extreme Pagani yet, the Revolución with 800 angry horsepower. Understandibly for race-track use only.

We move on to the Huayra, the most beautiful Pagani yet. Powered by a twin-turbo Mercedes-AMG V12 @ 730hp and styled to look like a fighter jet this is the ultimate Italian supercar ... for now. The successor is scheduled for 2020.

A cute little detail are these little carbon-fiber squares in the floor of the museum. Very fitting since the history of the company is closely linked to composit materials.

Just look at the air outlet of this Zonda Cinque. See how the weaving of the carbon fiber matches perfectly across the gaps? That's true attention to detail.
